The HLP-200B is a high-precision, handheld CO₂ laser power meter engineered to provide accurate and reliable measurements of laser output in demanding industrial, scientific, and manufacturing environments. This device is an essential tool for technicians, engineers, and operators who require fast and trustworthy laser power verification.
One of the most significant features of the HLP-200B is its high level of calibration. It is precisely calibrated at a wavelength of 10.6μm (the specific wavelength of a CO₂ laser) and is traceable to NIST absolute standards through GOLD reference calibration. This ensures that every reading is as reliable and repeatable as possible, giving you confidence in your measurements.
With a broad measuring range of 0–200W, the HLP-200B is suitable for a wide variety of CO₂ laser applications, from laser engraving and cutting to more specialized medical and research systems. The instrument features a clear 4-digit LCD display with a high resolution of 0.1W, allowing for precise and easy monitoring of laser performance.
The device is designed for convenience and ease of use. Its compact, ergonomic shape makes it easy to handle, and its 20mm detector area ensures accurate readings when the laser beam is correctly centered. It operates via natural air cooling and is powered by a CR2032 3V/3.6V battery (not included). To conserve energy, the device automatically powers off after 7 seconds of inactivity. The simple operating procedure—press the start button, wait for a prompt tone, align the beam, and read the value—makes it incredibly user-friendly.

Step 1 – Press the start button
Press the co2 laser thermal power detector’s start button

Step 2 – Dashed line appears on the screen
Dash line appears on the portable laser power meter LCD screen. After 0.5s, when you hear the prompt tone means it is ready to test

Step 3 – Approach the power meter to test area
Approach the CO2 laser power meter to the test area, in order to allow HLP-200B give accurate measurement of laser power, the laser must be centered on the absorber when making a measurement (the laser beam should lay on the power meter probe center. “—-” stops flickering, measurement starts.)

Step 4 – Power shows on the screen
After the readings showing and becoming stable on the hand held laser power meter screen, that’s the final accurate power, 7s after remove the laser power meter, it will power off automatically for energy saving(Measurement ends on a prompt tone. 7s later, it will be power off automatically.)
Note
Express delivery does not allow batteries, hence the laser power meters are shipped without batteries, please install the batteries before use.
